It has become imperative for youth to have access to digital resources and learning to fully participate in 21st Century social, civic and economic life. During this webinar you will learn about the digital divide, which describes the socio-economic disparities that arise from lack of access to digital resources and learning and how lack of equity impacts young people’s future outcomes. You will leave with steps you can implement immediately to bring digital learning equity to your school and program with help from strategies provided by the Afterschool Tech Toolkit, made possible by support from Google for Education.

Be a Digital Learning Champion in Your Program 

Meaningful digital learning is a critical component in preparing young people for civic, academic and post-secondary participation in the 21st century. Yet, there are wide disparities in digital access between young people from lower-income communities and their higher income peers. Join us for a lively panel discussion to learn about the importance of digital learning in increasing educational opportunities for young people and how afterschool programs can play a key role in increasing digital access and use.

You will also be introduced to an exciting new tool, the Afterschool Tech Toolkit, to assist you in starting, expanding, and/or deepening digital learning in your program.  The Afterschool Tech Toolkit is made possible by support from Google.
