Afterschool Is Essential

Our 2020 has been quite a year so far, described over and over with phrases such as, "unprecedented, challenging, and uncertain."

As a child of the '70s, Star Wars has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

I love books. I love hearing authors read from, talk about or—in the case of nonfiction—demonstrate the practices from their books. It's especially powerful!

We Know Your Worth. You Are Our People.

Have you ever been at an event and thought: "I've found my people!"

The National AfterSchool Association recently published the article "Reading is a Way to Learn."

According to UNICEF, 1 out of every 20 children aged 14 or younger (93 million kids worldwide) is living with a moderate or severe disability, leading them to be marginalized and excluded from their schools or communities.
