After many years of debate within the education world, a growing movement dedicated to the social, emotional, and academic well-being of children is reshaping learning and changing lives across America.

It's no secret that things are, well ... a bit off these days. In our current social, cultural and political climates, we're witnessing a shift in attitude.

SEL Afterschool: Lead the Charge at NAA18!

Did you know the National AfterSchool Association is a great resource for professional development supporting social-emotional learning (SEL) in afterschool?

The Partnership for Children & Youth (PCY) recently released Finding Common Ground: Connecting Social-Emotional Learning During and Beyond the School Day.

The National AfterSchool Association's Leading with Emotional Intelligence Fellowship is designed to develop the emotional intelligence (EQ) of afterschool leaders. In the Fellowship's inaugural year, 17 afterschool leaders were selected. Each fellowship participant received funding to complete a culminating impact project. Here, we offer a look at some of those projects.
