New Conference Management for 2008
Conventures, Inc., New England's largest integrated marketing, communications and special event production company, announced today that they have been hired to plan and manage the National AfterSchool Association's (NAA) 20th annual conference. The conference will be held from March 12-14, 2008 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Conventures team will be tasked with coordinating both the conference and tradeshow portions of the event that will be hosted during the three-day convention.
The NAA annual conference consistently attracts thousands of after-school and out-of-school professionals and leaders from prominent, nationally recognized organizations of the public, private, philanthropic and non-profit sectors in the after-school field. The conference consists of a multitude of workshops, training sessions and program site visits, which educate attendees on the most current after-school practices, public policy and advocacy efforts.
Conventures will provide management services for all aspects of the conference including event design and concept, collateral design and production, registration tracking, coordination of promotional materials and on-site logistics. Conventures will also be responsible for the sales and logistics of the 200-booth exhibition tradeshow.
"We are excited to partner with Conventures as we head into our 20th year of the National Afterschool Association conference," said Ms. Judy Nee, president and CEO of the National AfterSchool Association. "We are confident that they will be able to provide us with a fresh perspective and will produce an outstanding event for us as we celebrate this notable milestone."
Founded in 1977, Conventures has executed both small and large-scale conferences for a number of clients throughout the years including the American Institute of Architecture Students, MIT Deshpande Center and Linedata Services. Conventures has also managed many tradeshows, including the John Hancock Sports and Fitness Expo, the largest running tradeshow of its kind in the country, for over 30 years.
"I look forward to working with the National AfterSchool Association and feel certain that our experienced staff will make this an exciting and memorable event," said Dusty Rhodes, president and founder of Conventures, Inc. "Our goal is that the 2008 conference is one of their best yet."
